TL; DR

  • London-based tech company Nothing has revealed its new Ear Stick earphones.
  • The new earbuds will come in a unique charging case inspired by “classic aesthetic designs”.
  • Full specifications and pricing for the product are expected to be revealed later this year.

It’s been a year since London-based tech company Nothing entered the earphone market with its first audio product – the Ear 1. For its upcoming efforts in the space, the company appears to be making a minor update with an all-new stick-like charging case.

Yesterday, London Fashion Week attendees got a surprising look at Nothing’s new earbuds, branded Ear Stick. In addition to its own earbuds, the company has showcased a new charging case.

Far from describing the earbuds as “lightweight” and “extremely comfortable,” the tech manufacturer hasn’t given many details about the new buds. However, a leak in June discovered it Mukul SharmaThe new product remains largely unchanged from a design point of view. The two biggest differences seem to be two points at the bottom of the stem and the “Nothing Ear 1” branding has been replaced with an “Ear 1 Stick”.

For the newly designed charging case, there was nothing a little more chatter. The company says the charging case is designed to be compact and stylish enough to simply slip into pockets. Nothing also indicates that the design of the charging case is inspired by “classic cosmetic silhouettes”. This wand-like charging case, which can almost be confused with a cosmetic product, is a big change from the square-shaped charging case that comes with the ear 1.

At the moment, there are no details on when the earbuds will launch or what price they will be. However, nothing has said that full product specifications and pricing will be revealed later sometime this year.

In our Ear 1 review, we gave the earbuds 4 out of 5 stars. While the multiple noise cancellation options, fast wireless charging, and a comfortable feel were great, we were disappointed by the lack of multiple Bluetooth points, minimal active noise cancellation, and limited EQ customization.
